I have a photo in good condition of nine young men from a 1905 baseball team.  The letter "E" in script form is prominently displayed on their team shirts.  I suspect one or more of them is one of my Elmira "Sullivan" ancestors since the photo was in a family album, but the young men are not identified.  Can you refer me to someone who may have a baseball photo collection from Elmira for 1905 so I can properly identify my grandfather or great uncle?

I checked your "1900 Amateur Baseball" site and no one in that photo is related.  So now I'm looking for some direction on where to go next in
my research.  Thanks for any help you can supply.  Eleanor Nelson

Hello, Joyce.

Just wanted to let you know a long-lost relative has identified my grandfather in the 1905 baseball team photo I sent you last year.  He is pictured in the bottom row, far right, and his name was John Emmett Sullivan, who lived on West Hudson Street in Elmira.  Unfortunately, I still don't know the name of the team.

Thank you for the opportunity to use your site.  It has been an invaluable resource.
