1788 Survey of Chemung (now Southport/Ashland)

Chemung County, New York (In Town of Chemung - Tioga County in 1788) 
Includes all land in Chemung County south of the Chemung River in what is now the town of Southport and a portion of the present town of Ashland from the Southport town line east to Wellsburg south of the Chemung River. Taken from the original survey of the Map of the Town of Chemung laid out by James Clinton, John Hathorn, John Contine dated 1788 containing 207,656 acres. The original Chemung County survey containing the entire county is at the Chemung County Clerk's Office - J. Kelsey Jones.
