| VanGORDER, Huldah
- a.k.a. Hulda Tice - Huldah was born in 1771 in Orange County New York,
daughter of Maria VanKLEEF and John VanGORDER (VanGARDEN) 30 AUG 1792 she
married Heinrich THEISS as his second wife. Huldah and Henry migrated to
Chemung in Chemung County where they were among the earliest settlers prior
to 1804. They later removed to Town of Baldwin where she died on 5 JUN
1853, two years after her husband. They are buried in the North Chemung
Cemetery. Huldah's ancestry goes back to many New Amsterdam and New Jersey
Dutch families. Among her famous ancestors is Tom Quick Huldah was mother
of Jennie, Mary, Anna, John, David, Jacob, Philip, Lucretia, Catherine,
Betsey, Solomon and Hannah. She is great great great grandmother of Joyce
M. Tige (Joyce M. Tice, Leslie M. Tice, Lee D. Tice, Harvey L. Tice, Philip

TICE, Henry,
a.k.a. Heinrmch THEISS - Heinrich was born 16 JUL 1762 in Montgomery, Orange
County, NY as son of Anntje SENSEBACH and Joseph Henry TICE (THEISS). He
married Jane WATSON and after her death he married Huldah VanGORDER. He
served in the Revolutionary War in lieu of his father and was awarded land
in Chemung for his service. He died in Town of Baldwin on 7 OCT 1851 and
is buried in North Chemung Cemetery with Huldah. He is great great great
grandfather of Joyce M. Tice (Joyce M. Tice, Leslie M. Tice, Lee D. Tice,
