Hi, Joyce. I am sending in my grandfather's photo. He is on
the right front end. His name is William James Hanigan, son of James F.
Hanigan and Bridget Fletcher Hanigan. He resided at 732 Harper ST
in Elmira, NY. I hope this is adequate for you to put on your site.
William was born on 12/5/1886. This photo was taken on August
8, 1918. I don't know the identity of the other men in this photo.
He was inducted at Elmira, NY on June 26, 1918 and served with the 152
Dep Brig to July 10, 1918 and from that date up to and including an honorable
discharge on August 4, 1919 he served with the Co H 21 Engrs. He
was overseas from Sept 1/1918 until July 26,1919. He suffered no
disabilities.
He died in the Bath VA Hospital on April 7, 1938 of pneumonia.
He is buried in the Hanigan Family plot of ST Peter and Paul Cemetery in
Elmira, NY.
