Maple Grove Cemetery Obituaries

Please be conscious as you use these records, that we have BOTH the Office Records AND Transcriptions from the tombstones presented here. You may find your search on both listings or only one or neither.  There are about 100 tombstone inscriptions or 150 to 200 office records per page. Tombstone Reading lists are not fully complete at this time. Be patient for the remainder. We have very limited local resources for these projects and plenty of work to do. It will not be helpful to ask us when they will be done. When they are done, you will find them here. Check back. If you are local, we can use your help on this cemetery or the many others remaining in our three counties that are yet to be read.

Maple Grove Office Records:
The records were copied from the cards that are located at the office at the Maple Grove Cemetery. The cards are filed under the the name of the person who owns the grave lot. Sherry Nichols and Bim VanEtten copied the cards. Sharron Vossoughi typed up the records, but a file was lost, so they need to be redone - in process..

Maple Grove Cemetery records (Tombstone Readings):
Sherry, Stacy and Chrissy Nichols and Kae Smith copied the records from the gravestones. Sherry Nichols, Pat Raymond & Sharron Vossoughi typed them up. Located on Broad St. in Horseheads, NY.  I still have probably about half of the cemetery to still read the stones on. Ken Chapman has also helped with tombstone readings.

Dear Joyce,
Slight correction to the listings below, using the url I copied/pasted from       your wonderful site:
Although the headstone may read Tenbroeck Blanche Carry;       It should read:  TenBroeck  Blanche Curry (rather than Carry)

The TenBroeck families always spelled their names with a capital B.

Blanche (middle name was Alethea) is my mother's mother  and Earle Robert TenBroeck, Sr. is my maternal Grandfather.
      Carleton is my Uncle.

      Tenbroeck Blanche Carry Feb 10 1953 L
      Tenbroeck Earle Robert Feb 21 1968 L
      Schroth Carleton E.            June 9 1980

Feel free to post this correction.
      Regards,
      Beck Sams
