Following is the headstone information for the Gearhart (Gearheart) Cemetery, north of Sullivanville:

Sarah, wife of Tobias Gearheart d. 4/24/1833, aged 60y 9m 21d
Dorothy, wife of Tobias Gearheart d. 3/6/1841, aged 20y 9m 12d

Grace, wife of Zachariah Hawkins died Mar. 31, 1847 Aged 53 years 8m's & 4 d's
George W. AcMoody d. 9/5/1856 aged 86?y 7m 24d
Wm. Fanton died (rest of stone is buried)
Margaret, dau of George W. AcMoody died 6/29/1833 age 1y 2m
Jane P. AcMoody (stone was illegible)
That was everyone for this small, but well-kept cemetery, which I visited on Sept. 26, 1996. I am descended from Zachariah and Grace (Fanton?) Hawkins (early settlers of the town of Catharine/Veteran), and would love to hear from other descendants.

I wanted to update my contact info.
I still have some 40 year old family history mysteries to

Obituaries -
COLEMAN Elbert Ralph, Sr. Age 83, of Lakeland, FL, formerly
of Ithaca Road, Horseheads, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, April
13, 2004. Al was born February 12, 1921 in Cameron, NY, the second of sixteen
children to Charles E. and Anna L. Force Coleman. He served his country
during WWII with the 457th Amphibious Truck Company, U.S. Army on Guadalcanal.
He married Vina E. Cornell-Zimdahl on January 27, 1946. The couple had
recently celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary. He was a UC&M man
1st class for NYSE&G with 34 years of faithful service, retiring in
1982. He was predeceased by his sister, Dorothy; and brothers, Donald,
Richard and Charles. He is survived by his wife, Vina; and their four children,
Julia G. "Julie" Ackerman (William) of Latrobe, PA, Elbert R. "Rusty" Coleman,
Jr. (Mi Young) of Melbourne, FL, Candace A. "Candy" Hendrix (Stan) of Lexington,
SC, and Charles E. "Chip" Coleman (Judith) of Horseheads. There are thirteen
grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Al was also a father figure
to many foster children. Also surviving are sisters, Anna Worden of Elmira,
Martha Pack (John) of Horseheads, Lynda Clinton (William) of Elmira, Sandria
Hess (Paul) of Chemung; brothers, Kenneth (Rita) of Cortland, Theodore
(Naomi) of Snellville, GA, John of Beaver Dams; Landon of Elmira, Lynn
(Liz) of Elmira, Henry (Mary) of Horseheads, Raymond of Littleton, CO;
an aunt, Hazel Cook of Wellsville; and hundreds of nieces and nephews,
many cousins and friends. Al was an avid golfer and bowler but he will
best be remembered for his generosity. He loved his family and friends
and was always there for them. He will be greatly missed. He was a member
of the Lakeland Light and Life Free Methodist Church, the Light and Life
Tuesday Bowling League, and the NYSE&G Quarter Century Club. A memorial
service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 8th, at the Hand In Hand
Free Methodist Church in Elmira with his nephew, Rev. John I. Owen, and
pastor, Rev. James Payne, co-officiating. The committal service and interment
will follow at the Gearhart Cemetery on the Coleman family homestead in
Sullivanville, NY, where he will be accorded full military honors. Contributions
may be made in Al's memory to the Elmira Hand In Hand Free Methodist Church
